About Me

From the chill of an ice rink to the warmth of a kiln, my creative journey has been an unexpected one. For eight years, I was up at 4 a.m. supporting my daughter’s figure skating — and when she began driving herself, I suddenly found five extra hours in my day. In March 2023, I discovered fused and stained glass, and I fell in love instantly.

The movement and feel of glass, its colours, shapes, and textures, inspire every piece I make. I’m passionate about creating works that can be both beautiful art and functional objects, something everyone can admire. What began as a hobby quickly turned into a world of exploration and visual joy — a place of rough and smooth, where nothing is wasted. In my glass world, if a piece doesn’t turn out as I imagined, it might still become a cherished centrepiece for someone else’s home. And if it stays with me, I simply re-melt and repurpose it into something entirely new.

By June 2024, my passion had grown into Anna’s Touch of Glass. I invested in all the equipment, take regular training and weekly lessons, and continue to develop my skills. My home is happily overrun with glass creations, and I showcase my work at events such as Herts Open Studio. Every day, I’m reminded that glass has no boundaries — only the hands and mind that work with it.
